503 50 Street SW

A planning application (map) has been approved to rezone a portion of the site located at 503 50 Street SW.

The application previously proposed to rezone the site from Agricultural Zone (AG) to Neighbourhood Convenience Zone (CNC) and Urban Services Zone (US). The US zoning has now been changed to a Direct Development Control Provision (DC1)

The proposed DC1 rezoning will allow for development of an institutional or community service nature, and mitigate risk around pipeline rights-of-way and abandoned wells through reduced setbacks for sensitive uses. The CNC zoning will remain for the remainder of the site. 

Associated plan amendments to the Charlesworth Neighbourhood Structure Plan (NSP) and the Southeast Area Structure Plan (ASP) are proposed to redesignate the site from Institutional/City Level Park to a separate Institutional and Neighbourhood Convenience designation.
