A planning application (map) has been received for properties at 16268 139 Street NW and 16884 139 Street NW.
The application proposes to rezone the properties from Agricultural Zone (AG) to Row Housing Zone (RF5).
The purpose of the application is to provide the opportunity to develop low to medium-density housing, such as row housing or semi-detached housing.
This form of housing is compatible and context sensitive with the surrounding low density residential land uses.
An associated application has been made to amend the Carlton Neighbourhood Structure Plan to enable the above rezoning.
Public Engagement Session
Citizens were invited to a drop-in public engagement session on October 3, 2018 at Elizabeth Finch School, 13815 160 Avenue NW, to hear about the proposed rezoning of properties at 16268 and 16284 139 Street NW in the Carlton Neighbourhood.
The engagement session was an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and provide feedback to the City and the applicant. Feedback will be summarized in a report to City Council for a decision on the rezoning application.
