Throughout 2023, EllisDon, the City’s early works construction manager, along with utility companies, will be working along 111 Street for the future Capital Line South LRT extension. This work will prepare the alignment for the Design-Build contractor to begin major LRT construction in 2024.

In 2023, EllisDon, the City’s early works construction manager, will be excavating and installing shafts at the 23 Avenue and 111 Street intersection to prepare for future tunnelling work for the LRT underpass.

They will also be performing early works construction along 111 Street to help prepare the area for the future Design-Build contractor.

EPCOR

As part of the Capital Line South LRT Extension project, EPCOR is responsible for relocating all the power, water and drainage utilities to avoid potential conflicts with future LRT infrastructure.
