Current engagement opportunities are at the refine level on the City’s Public Engagement Spectrum. This means that the public's role is to share their ideas on how to adjust the new draft bus network to better serve more Edmontonians.

Gathering your Feedback

At the workshops, allow about 30 minutes to view draft maps and share your feedback. There will be videos, information boards, maps and table stations where you can share your opinions on the proposed network.

If you require interpretation, translation or visual supports, please contact 311 or email newbusroutes@edmonton.ca so our team can make arrangements for your participation.

Food and beverages, children's activities and more will be available.

Other Ways To Get Involved

Online Survey

April 12 - June 30 2018

If you are unable to attend a community workshop, we hope to collect your feedback on the new draft bus network through our online survey. The online survey will allow you to explore the bus network and provide us with your ideas of how the draft network could be refined.

Bus Network Survey

Help refine the new bus network by completing the online survey.

Engagement History

When we developed the Transit Strategy, Edmontonians told us they wanted a bus system that better met their needs. Here is what else we heard:

  • Edmontonians want a transit system that is safe, fast, convenient and reliable
  • Different people want different things from their transit system
  • People in the inner neighbourhoods (between 50 Street and 170 Street and Yellowhead Trail and Whitemud Drive) want more frequent service, service at all times of day and 7 days a week
  • People in the outer neighbourhoods want more frequent service, shorter travel times, and prefer weekday peak service

Based on local knowledge and technical expertise, we developed a new bus network to better serve Edmontonians.

Coverage and Frequency

This animated video highlights the trade-offs involved in coverage vs frequency approaches to designing Edmonton's bus network.

What We Did and Heard Reports

The What We Did and What We Heard reports from the Transit Strategy provide greater insight and detail about what Edmontonians told us they wanted.
