Edmonton’s mature neighbourhoods are great places to live and have many treasures including District Activity Parks. These parks serve several neighbourhoods in the larger area and are important for health, wellness and quality of life. They are part of a city-wide park system and support a wide variety of facilities, programs and open space activities.

Glengarry Park (13340 85 Street) is a District Activity Park that needs your help to shape its future through the development of a master plan. This plan will consider your interests, existing and new amenities and activities, maintenance, city policies and the greater community.

Fall 2017 - Setting the direction : Preferred concept option will be shared for final feedback. Open house November 7, 2017.

2018 - Submit master plan into 2019-2022 capital budget process for consideration.

Future - Complete detailed design and construction (dependent on funding).

Project Overview

Glengarry Park has been identified as a priority for the District Activity Park Renewal Program to update park infrastructure and park amenities to meet community needs. This program provides a long term strategic approach to renew District Activity Parks and identifies parks for the 10-Year Capital Investment Agenda and 4-Year Capital Budget 2019-2022.

The Master Plan process identifies a Public Involvement Plan to engage community and stakeholders. Some themes that will guide these conversations include; access and circulation, sport activities, recreation and play activities, arts, culture and celebration and environmental sustainability. Your input will inform key features and activities to complement the existing park!
