A proposed Neighbourhood Structure Plan establishing a development framework for 145 hectares of land.

A Land Development Application has been submitted to the City of Edmonton. 
This application has two components: An amendment to the Horse Hill Area Structure Plan (ASP) and a new neighbourhood level plan for the east portion of Neighbourhood 1 in Horse Hill.

Amendment to the Horse Hill Area Structure Plan

The Horse Hill ASP divides the area into 5 neighbourhood units, numbered 1 through 5. The amendment proposes to divide neighbourhood 1 into 2 areas along Meridian Street NE to create Neighbourhood 1A to the east of Meridian Street NE and Neighbourhood 1B west of Meridian Street NE.

*Please note that “Neighbourhood 1A” is a placeholder name while the naming committee reviews the potential name for the new NSP area.*

Edmontonians are invited to share their feedback on this proposed Neighbourhood Structure Plan (NSP). 

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and help keep Edmontonians and City staff safe, feedback is being accepted for this proposed NSP through the City’s online virtual engagement tool from April 6–27, 2021, in lieu of an in-person engagement session.

Input from Edmontonians will be used to inform conversations with the applicant about potential revision to the proposal to address concerns or opportunities raised. Feedback will also be summarized in the report to City Council when the proposed NSP goes to a future City Council Public Hearing for a decision.
