In order to ensure citizens can participate in and lead effective public engagement, it was heard in Phase 1 of the Council Initiative on Public Engagement that learning and training opportunities need to be provided to both city staff and Edmontonians.  With this in mind, the Learning and Training Working Group of community members and City staff developed an innovative competency based learning and training program model to foster a culture of continuous learning.

This program will now be designed and implemented by the City of Edmonton’s School of Business.
