Preventing weeds by spraying

The City of Edmonton is on the hunt for noxious weeds on public and private property. These plants can:

  • Grow and spread quickly, invading crops and entire ecosystems
  • Out compete our native plants
  • Infest streams, riverbanks and waterways
  • Reduce native biodiversity

How You Can Get Involved

We are asking residents to SPOT, REPORT and REMOVE invasive weeds from their property and urban natural areas.

Daily tracking of where crews plan to treat for pests in the city helps to manage a variety of pest types.

What you can do to control a weed problem on your property.
The GoatWorks Pilot Project is an innovative program using goats to manage noxious weed infestations in natural areas and parks.
