Tree of Memories

Celebrate the life of a loved one this holiday season with the Tree of Memories

Location: Beechmount & Mount Pleasant Cemeteries

Dates: November 15 to January 15

Beechmount and Mt. Pleasant Cemeteries invites members from the community to visit a Tree of Memories between November 15 and January 15.

Thousands of beautiful blue lights will shine from these large, magnificent trees, symbolizing the spirits and memories of those who have gone before us.

Members of the public are invited to take part in the annual tradition of placing an ornament on a Tree of Memories to remember their loved ones. This small act of remembrance can create a new way of celebrating the life of the person who has died.

To place an ornament on one of these trees, visit Beechmount or Mt. Pleasant during daylight hours between November 15 and December 25, and place an ornament on the tree in the location you desire.

As we cannot guarantee that wintry conditions will be kind, community members may wish to refrain from using ornaments which are too valuable or sentimental.

Please retrieve the ornament before January 15 if you wish to keep it to place on your own tree in the future.
