Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is a joint municipal/provincial partnership that funds preventive social service programs that enhance the well-being of individuals, families and communities.

The provincial Family and Community Services Act sets out the basic eligibility for program funding detailed in the FCSS Handbook.

The City, with the assistance of the Citizen Services Advisory Board (CSAB), identifies priorities for FCSS funding annually on the basis of current social planning and demographic information.

FCSS is not accepting new applications at this time

Interim Report: Process Change

No need to submit a report in August 2018 - the information needed for this report is collected throughout the year.


Apply For Funding Renewal

If you receive FCSS Funding that expires on December 31, 2018, the deadline to apply for 2019 funding is Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 11:59pm.

Have you already started an application?  Search for your application so you do not have to start over.

Need to start a new application? Start a brand new application.
(If you do not know your account ID please complete the Account ID request form and someone will contact you within 2 business days).

Remember to attach the required documents including the 2019 FCSS Program Budget.

Note: you will receive an email confirmation within 72 hours of submitting an application.

Additional Funding Opportunity

If your organization does not receive operating grants from any City of Edmonton source including Seniors Centre Investment Program, City Council, Committees of City Council, or grants administered by the Edmonton Arts Council or Edmonton Heritage Council you are eligible for the Community Investment Operating Grant.

To apply for the Community Investment Operating Grant:

Complete the FCSS - Family And Community Support Services CIOG Grant application, attach your completed 2019 CIOG Financial Information Form and submit before 11:59pm on October 10, 2018.
