The City works with a variety of community partners, including the Edmonton Financial Empowerment Collaborative to support people living on a low income to expand their financial knowledge, reduce debt, grow savings and build assets.

The City of Edmonton is one of two Canadian cities to partner with Prosper Canada on the Prosperity Gateways-Cities for Financial Empowerment project to improve the financial well-being of residents living on low income. Financial help includes education, coaching/counselling, free tax clinics, and help accessing income benefits.
