The Mature Neighbourhood Overlay applies to Edmonton's mature neighbourhoods. Created in 2001, the MNO is a part of the Zoning Bylaw that requires development that better suits older communities with tree-lined streets. The current regulations are effective December 10, 2018.
Zoning Bylaw Changes Underway
The Zoning Bylaw Renewal Initiative is proposing significant changes to the existing Zoning Bylaw. These changes, if approved by City Council, will become effective on January 1, 2024.
