Help Us Plant the 2018 Food Forest

Root for Trees is planting more native fruit and nut producing trees and shrubs in a new location this year! Join us to plant and learn about types of trees and shrubs growing naturally around Edmonton, you might be surprised at the amount of biodiversity available in your own backyard! Help us plant these beneficial plants, celebrate trees in Edmonton and build a sustainable community.

Location: Cloverdale Hill
North of Strathearn Crescent and East from 89 Street

Here’s what to expect at the event:

We will supply all the plant material and shovels. Please dress for the weather and remember to wear sturdy footwear!

Program Leaders who will provide a planting demonstrations, safety talk and some interesting facts about Edmonton’s urban forest.

Display tables to browse, ask questions and learn about ways to get involved.

The event is open to the public, signing up now helps us. Stop by for an hour or all four!

Get a native tree or shrub to take home as a thank- you!
