Since 2012, the City of Edmonton has supported the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region as its corporate charity of choice. As part of the employee experience at the City, supporting United Way's programs helps build stronger neighbourhoods and communities in Edmonton, which helps to build a stronger city overall.
Be Seen in Jeans
City of Edmonton employees are supporting the United Way by donating on a weekly basis to wear jeans at work. Please thank them for their contributions to the United Way.
Coats for Kids and Families
We are accepting donations of new and gently used winter wear for the United Way's Coats for Kids and Families program. Accepted donation items include winter jackets, snow pants, toques, mitts, scarves, winter booth and work boots. You can drop-off your new or gently used donation items to the following locations, until December 31, 2019 -
- All City of Edmonton Recreation and Leisure Centres
- City Hall
- Century Place building
- All Eco Stations (Ambleside, Coronation, Kennedale, Strathcona)
- Reuse Centre
- Edmonton Waste Management Centre
- Edmonton Valley Zoo
- John Janzen Nature Centre
