Successful registrants will be notified by email to attend one of two Lot Selection time slots (in groups of 25 registrants). You must bring a copy of your registration confirmation in order to select an available lot and picture ID, such as a driver’s license or Government-issued ID, with address matching the address on your online registration.
The Lot Selection Time Slots are as follows:
- 3pm-5pm (Registrants 1 thru 25)
- 6:30pm-8:30pm (Registrants 26 thru 50)
When you choose an available lot, you will be required to sign a Purchase Application and provide a non-refundable qualifying deposit of $5,000.00 by certified cheque or bank draft, payable to The City of Edmonton. The qualifying deposit will be applied toward the required deposit of 15% of the lot price plus GST, if applicable. Buyers are welcome to add an additional name to the Purchase Application (ie. Spouse).
If a registrant(s) does not attend the Meadows Recreation Centre at the assigned time slot, and their number has been called, that registrant(s) will lose their opportunity to select an available lot.
Picture identification with current address will be required, and the address must match your address submission on Eventbrite. Powers of Attorney or Agent representation will NOT be accepted; successful registrants must be present at the allocated Public Lot Selection time slot in order to purchase a lot.
Deposit: 15% of the total purchase price upon execution of the sale agreement (less the $5,000 received at time of lot selection)
Soil Condition Deadline: June 30, 2019 (buyer can satisfy or waive this condition)
Balance/Closing Date: July 17, 2019
Possession: On Closing Date
In addition to the Deposit, all lots purchased will require a payment of $15,000 in Performance Fees to be paid at the time the sale agreement is executed. These Performance Fees are to ensure buyer/builder compliance with the Sustainability & Architectural Design Guidelines and address any potential damage to city infrastructure. The performance Fees will be returned to the buyer or forfeited to the CIty in accordance with the terms of the sale agreement.
