The Muttart Conservatory, Edmonton's premier horticultural attraction, is nestled in the river valley and features more than 700 species of plants in 3 climate-regulated biomes - arid, temperate and tropical - and a feature biome, located within our pyramids.
The Muttart Conservatory is now open!
The Muttart was closed for 18 months for a $13.3 million rehabilitation to replace aging facility systems. The remaining 5 months of the closure were in response to pandemic public health orders.
There is no requirement to leave the Muttart at a certain time. You're welcome to explore at your own pace while being mindful of the one-way paths. We have reduced our daily capacity to help accommodate people who wish to stay longer, and we will have designated rest areas to keep the flow of people moving through the Muttart safely.
Yes, we will ensure hand sanitizer is available at locations around the Muttart, including at the entrance and exit. We also encourage you to bring your own sanitizer and to wash your hands often with soap and water.
