The John Walter Museum is located right in the heart of Edmonton’s river valley in Kinsmen Park. As an accredited museum, the site interprets the life of John Walter and the Strathcona community of Walterdale from 1875 to 1920.

Enjoy a variety of experiences ranging from self-guided tours to large community events that celebrate historical activities. Take part in a tour, learn pioneer skills that will enhance your modern life, or simply enjoy light refreshment on a picnic blanket.

The park has walking and biking trails, picnic sites, a playground, an outdoor pool and the Kinsmen recreation centre. Spend a day with us and experience life in Walterdale.

Starting July 7, 2018: John Walter Museum will be open to the public Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4pm. Admission will be $2 per person.
