The Dogs Off-Leash Ambassador Program is temporarily on hold.

Off-Leash Ambassadors

An Off-Leash Ambassador is a trained volunteer that represents the City of Edmonton and provides information to users in off-leash areas.

The purpose of an Ambassador is to improve the quality of Edmonton’s off-leash areas, and to enhance user experience for human and canine visitors.

Ambassadors create a culture of community at off-leash areas by encouraging positive interactions, and creating a culture of community at the park.

Responsibilities Of An Off-leash Ambassador

Ambassadors visit the off-leash park(s) of their choice with their trusty canine companion on a regular basis and act as a welcoming host at each site to answer questions, note maintenance concerns, and redirect any user questions to the appropriate City section.

Ambassadors also provide park users with information on City events, upcoming projects in off-leash areas, and contact details for City services like Bylaw and Animal Care and Control.
