The Continuous Monthly Payment Program allows you to pay for an ongoing monthly membership to City of Edmonton operated fitness and leisure centres via automatic monthly withdrawals from your bank account.

Re-opening Admission and Membership Updates

Admission and Rates

Options for citizens who did not have a membership on hold are to purchase individual time slots, purchase a monthly pass or annual membership - all at the Facility level pricing. This pricing level recognizes that our facilities are not running as usual with capacity limits and reduced amenity access. Our interim pricing therefore is as follows:

Pay per time slot*: 

  • Adults $8.50 
  • Youth/Senior $7.25
  • Child $5.75

One month pass:

  • Adults $57
  • Youth/Senior $48
  • Child $39
  • Family $156

Annual Membership:

  • Adults $504
  • Youth/Senior $432
  • Child $330
  • Family $1356

Book a time Slot / Buy Membership

Note:

  • *Family pricing is not available when paying per reservable time slot. Each individual has to reserve their time slot and pay.
  • If you want to access more than one amenity on the same day, you will need to make more than one booking. For example, you will need to book a time to use a fitness centre and a time to use a pool. You will need to leave the facility between your bookings.
  • Memberships include free admission to our virtual fitness programs.

Current Members

If you are a current member of any of our City of Edmonton Recreation Centres, your membership had been on hold since March 11.

As of July 6, all memberships have been reactivated. Your membership will automatically be extended by the number of days that it was on hold for.

As an activated member you now have the following options:

  1. Keep your membership active
    • Annual, Facility Plus or All Facility Members: We will add an additional month to your membership at the end of the term.
    • Continuous monthly Facility Plus or All Facility Members: We will not charge you for the month of August, 2020.
  2. Request your membership to be put on hold

    Let us know if you would like to extend the hold on your annual membership by filling out the Membership Holds and Cancellations Form. Annual memberships can be put on hold until January 1, 2021.

    • Annual Members (all levels): Once we receive your request, we will process it as soon as possible. Due to expected volume of requests, this might take some time. However, please be assured that your hold will be back-dated to when you requested, given that you did not use your membership during this time.
    • Continuous Monthly Members (all levels): The only available options are to keep your membership active or to cancel your membership.
  3. Cancel your current membership with no cancellation fees.
    If you would like to cancel your current membership, please fill out the Membership Holds and Cancellations Form to get a credit on your account or request a refund.

To Participate

  1. Determine which membership level (Facility, Facility Plus, or All Facility) and age category (child, youth, senior, adult, family) you want.
     
  2. Complete a Pre-Authorized Payment Debit Agreement and bring it and a void cheque to any City of Edmonton recreation facility to complete registration.
  • At the time of registration you will be required to pay the first full month’s payment, a prorated amount for the remaining days in the current month, and a non-refundable administration fee of $10. (See Admission and Memberships for prices).

Your account is automatically debited on the 1st banking day of every month.

Cancellations

A Cancellation Form must be submitted before the 15th day of the month prior to the month you wish to cancel. Cancellations received after the 15th of the month will result in the membership remaining active for an additional month. There will be no refunds for unused portions of a month.

Frequently Asked Questions

When I start the Continuous Monthly Membership program, am I locked in at this year's price?

No. The Continuous Monthly Membership program is subject to annual recreation centre admission and memberships fee adjustments.

Can I suspend my Continuous Monthly Membership pass?

No. You can cancel your membership, and submit a new application to restart it. If you cancel, then restart your membership within 90 days, the $10 program administration fee will be waived.

How do I update my banking or personal information?

Banking Information

To avoid the $10/transaction non-sufficient funds (NSF) fee (in addition to any penalties assessed by your bank), please bring a new void cheque to any City of Edmonton recreation facility and complete an update form before the 15th of the month.

Personal Information

There is no need to notify us when you qualify for the next age category. Your monthly membership fees will be adjusted automatically on your birthday as applicable.
