Construction Update - October 2016

All concrete and road work has been completed.  Due to current weather conditions, some landscaping and minor work will be carried out during the 2017 construction season.

Project Update - Spring 2016

Construction began on May 2, 2016 and it is expected that the duration of construction in front of your residence may be up to 12 weeks (weather dependent).

The construction consists of removal and replacement of public sidewalk, curb and gutter, streetlight replacement as required and reconstruction and paving of the road.

Project Update - March 2016

On March 30, 2016 the City met with businesses around the High Street area and on April 22, 2016 the City met with businesses adjacent to 124 Street. These meetings were to discuss the upcoming construction and potential impacts to businesses' access and parking as part of Westmount's neighbourhood reconstruction. The following displays were presented at these meetings.

Project Update - October 27, 2015

Some 2016 work in Westmount was moved ahead and completed in 2015, including 109 Avenue from 128 Street to 129 Street, Woodbend Place and Glenora Pointe.

Westmount - Preliminary Design

Work in Westmount will resume in spring 2016 in the other areas outlined in the project scope map.

Meeting One – June 18, 2013

The Building Great Neighbourhoods team met with the Westmount Community League Executive to share the City’s plans to renew and replace sanitary and storm sewers, reconstruct roads, curbs and sidewalks on City-owned property, and replace streetlights starting in 2015. The City also explained how Westmount residents and property owners will have the opportunity to get involved in the Complete Streets Pilot Project for the neighbourhood.
