The Transit Strategy, approved by Council in July 2017, reflects the priorities of Edmontonians and will modernize Edmonton’s transit system. It identifies the long-term vision for Transit and will guide development and investment in the transit system, which is a foundational element to building a great city.

Guiding Perspectives Reports

The Guiding Perspectives Reports were developed to spur thought and discussion on various aspects of transit's role in building a great city. They will help readers better understand the issues that the Transit Strategy needs to address.

Public Engagement History

The public engagement approach in the City of Edmonton involves equal respect between Council’s long-term strategic direction, the technical expertise of City administration and the local knowledge of Edmontonians and stakeholder groups.
