The standardized rating system is a management tool the City uses to develop a comprehensive inventory of its infrastructure assets and to evaluate their state and condition.
To examine the state and condition of the City’s assets, each asset is rated on the five-point ranking system (very good, good, fair, poor, and very poor) according to its physical condition, demand/capacity, and functionality.
This tool enables Council and Administration to have consistent information when comparing the condition of separate infrastructure elements (roads to drainage or parks to information systems) and in establishing funding priorities.
