The Economic Action Plan is guided by 5 principles and 24 actions that will help us develop our economy in a meaningful and organized way. This work requires a united effort and is made possible by collaboration with our economic development partners, who play a key role in contributing to the growth of Edmonton’s economy.
Support for new and established businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive in the new economy in an inclusive manner. This principle focuses on actions that advance the local economy and entrepreneur support through integrated projects, policy, programs and analytics. ( Actions 1 - 5 )

The Edmonton Economic Action Plan is the roadmap for building a resilient economy. The Action Plan sets the path for creating more jobs and more businesses. This plan was unanimously approved by City Council on April 19, 2021.
