Start summer off with a splash in the City Hall Fountain

Celebrate the arrival of summer and the opening of the City Hall fountain by splashing your day away at Splash Day in the heart of Edmonton!

Bring your sunscreen and beach towel for this free family-friendly. Get into the summer vibe with music from DJ Funkasaurus Rex, and entertainment by Firefly Circus, the Ho’omaka Hanu A Ke Aloha Polynesian Dance Society, and the Ngorimba Marimba Band. Get your face painted, and enjoy roving performers including Mrs. Bubbles, Hula Hoop Circus and the Clown Cartel. The Edmonton Arts Council will be on hand with activities and games in Sir Winston Churchill Square including table tennis, large format chess and checkers, snakes and ladders and giant Lego. For a complete schedule, visit edmontonarts.ca

Take part in a spring planting activity to celebrate the return of gardening season and eight new pop-up garden planters in City Hall Plaza. Open and accessible for everyone to enjoy, these beds will be filled with a variety of plants, kicking off the new City Hall Urban Agriculture initiative. While you’re there, check out Downtown Spark’s Lost Dogs Disco.

Stop in and receive a free custom mocktail from the Hallway Café. Hungry? While you’re there, check out their awesome menu and treat yourself to something delicious.

Food trucks will also be on site for those looking to purchase a hot meal or snack. 

Fountain and Change Room hours are 10am–9pm daily.
