Birthday Party Packages

You'll have a wild time at the zoo with our themed birthday parties! Meet some of our smaller zoo animals, play games, have outdoor adventures and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Birthday Parties are available year round, but space is limited. Parties must be booked at least 6 weeks in advance. Book earlier to avoid disappointment! A 50% down payment is required at the time of booking in order to reserve a spot.

 

Our birthday packages include:

• 2-hour program (1.5 hour program available for children aged 4-6)
• 1 hour room rental
• Birthday child will receive a free t-shirt (extra t-shirts can be ordered for an additional fee*)
• Every child attending the party will receive:
  • One 50% discount off a single admission to an attraction (when a second admission of equal or lesser value is purchased)
  • One free single admission to a fitness and leisure centre (when a second admission of equal or lesser value is purchased)

*Add-ons must be confirmed and paid for at the time the birthday party booking is made. No refunds or additions will be accepted once the booking has been placed.

Animal Alphabet Party

Ages 4-6

Be an alphabet detective. Search for hidden letters that will lead you to visit a variety of animals. Give a treat to an animal, and have some hands-on encounters with some of the creatures you meet along the way.

Zoo Safari Party

Ages 4-12

Put on your safari hat - we are heading out on a grand adventure! During this 'zoo-mazing' adventure you will get close to the animals with encounters and enrichments. Tour the zoo, meet some critters and have a howlin' safari style birthday.

• 2.5 hour or 3 hour party package (includes 1 hour room rental)

Zoo Clue Party

Ages 7-9

Solve a mystery at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Our program leader will play the part of a master zoo detective as children are led on a scavenger hunt for clues. During their investigation, they'll meet and touch a variety of animals.

Zoo Clue Party Information Package

Be a Zookeeper Party

Ages 7-12

Zookeepers are always busy! They prepare meals, invent toys for animals and care for sick and orphaned animals. You and your party will find out firsthand what it's like to be a zookeeper.

Program Length

• 3 hour party package (includes 1 hour room rental)
• Maximum group size is 20 guests including all children, parents and siblings.

Booking Information

Parties must be booked at least one month (30 days) in advance. Book early to avoid disappointment! Payment for the program must be made at the time of booking.

Group Size

• Maximum 20 guests/party for "Be a Zookeeper" parties. Total number includes all children, parents, and siblings. At least two adults must stay with the children during to assist with supervision for the entire program.
• Maximum 30 guests/party for Animal Alphabet, Zoo Clue, and Zoo Safari parties. Total number includes all children, parents, and siblings. At least four adults must stay with the children to assist with supervision for the entire program.
• Additional guests above the maximum number stated, including adults or children, will be required to pay applicable admission costs and will not be able to participate in the program activities. We encourage additional adults wanting to attend the program to pay regular admission and enjoy the zoo on their own. The additional adults can rejoin your group once the program is over.

Cancellation Policy

• You are required to provide written notice of cancellation of the birthday party via email at cmsbirthdaybookings@edmonton.ca.
• Cancellations with 4 – 30 days notice are subject to a fee of 50% of the program cost.
• Programs cancelled with less than 3 days (72 hours) notice will be charged the full program fee.
• Programs run rain or shine. In the event of poor weather, you must call 780-496-7948 or email cmsbirthdaybookings@edmonton.ca if you are not coming.
