This testing will be done under the direction of the Edmonton Fire Rescue Services Health and Wellness Coordinator using peer fitness testers such as firefighters. The test will include:
- Body composition
- Muscular strength
- Muscular endurance
- Flexibility
- Aerobic power
If your performance does not meet base firefighter requirements, you may be retested by an independent external agency or excluded from the hiring process.
Note: The firefighter recruitment process is subject to change.
