Drop-in, plant and help to grow Edmonton’s urban forest.
Root for Trees provides:
- Native tree seedlings
- Shovels and gloves
- Staff on site to talk about planting safety, how to plant your seedling, and to be available for questions
All the planting supplies will be ready on site. Please wear comfortable clothing, dress for the weather and bring a bottle of water. All individuals entering the planting area must wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. If proper footwear is not worn, individuals will be unable to participate.
Plant material and equipment are available on a first come first serve basis, while supplies last.
Other Opportunities
Root for Trees Special Events are held throughout our planting season. They celebrate both Edmonton's urban forest and our communities.
Looking for a private planting opportunity with your group of 10 individuals or more? See our Registered Tree Planting Program.
