Community Walk and Ideas Workshop

Thank you to everyone who attended the Community Walk and Ideas Workshop on November 2, 2019. Participants walked the community with the project team to discuss opportunities for improvements, what they like and what they would change in Pleasantview.

Following the walk, event attendees were welcome to join the Ideas Workshop to brainstorm the vision and guiding principles to further explore ideas for Pleasantview's Neighbourhood Renewal.

About the Project

The Neighbourhood Renewal program will rehabilitate roads, replace street lights, curbs and gutters, repair sidewalks, and connect missing sidewalk links where possible. Other opportunities to improve parks and public spaces will also be explored.

Cost sharing opportunities will be made available through the Local Improvement process for sidewalk reconstruction and decorative street light upgrades in the neighbourhood. Arterial roads and alleys are not included in the scope of work.

A series of public events will be scheduled by the project team which will give residents the opportunity to build a project vision and guiding principles together and provide regular feedback on the different stages of the project including design.

Please watch your mailbox for correspondence from Building Great Neighbourhoods and Open Spaces about the Pleasantview Neighbourhood Renewal Project.
