About the Program

Inglewood has been chosen for reconstruction beginning in spring 2019 with completion expected for 2021.

Neighbourhood reconstruction is a type of neighbourhood renewal that involves road reconstruction and repaving, as well as replacement of streetlights and reconstruction of sidewalks, curb and gutter. Alley renewal is not part of neighbourhood reconstruction. It also includes the opportunity for two local improvements, sidewalk renewal and decorative streetlights.

A series of public events will be scheduled which will give residents the opportunity to view the design plans and discuss details with the project team.

Project History

Stakeholder Outreach Workshop - March 13, 2018

Representatives from community groups and organizations in Inglewood were invited to a stakeholder outreach workshop to learn more about the Inglewood neighbourhood renewal and to have a conversation about building outreach capacity for later public engagement on the project.

The workshop was also used to gather initial ideas for what the community, as a whole, is hoping the renewal work will achieve. Themes from the input gathered in the workshop will be presented in future engagement opportunities for the public to review and refine.
