Find information on the public engagement history for the Pleasantview Community Traffic Management Plan.

The Community Traffic Management process in Pleasantview is complete.

In the fall of 2013 residents, businesses and other stakeholders in Pleasantview expressed concerns about traffic issues including speeding, traffic volumes and shortcutting.

In January 2014 The City began organizing opportunities for residents of Pleasantview and surrounding communities to share concerns and identify traffic challenges.

A community-wide meeting was held to review what we heard from previous meetings as well as the community survey, and to report back about next steps for the trial traffic measures.

Public Drop-In Workshops

Discussion topics where around traffic measures that were supported, suggestions for a school drop-off area, issues not in scope of this initiative and suggestions for installations and enforcement to calm traffic.

Traffic Management Plan Survey

January 13 to 26

Residents were asked to complete a preliminary survey to assess community concerns, including perceptions of:

  • Traffic volume and safety;
  • Locations and types of traffic issues; and
  • Willingness to accept traffic measures that may increase travel time.

The survey was open to anyone in Edmonton.
201 respondents completed the survey.
