In 2020, five neighbourhoods started the neighbourhood reconstruction of their aging roadway surfaces and sidewalks as part of the City’s Neighbourhood Renewal program.
The program is dedicated to renewing Edmonton’s roads, sidewalks, curbs, gutters and street lights, as well as any missing sidewalk links. During the Neighbourhood Renewal process, the redevelopment of other City-owned areas within the community, such as parks and green spaces, will also be explored.
Please note that alley renewal and arterial roads are not a part of neighbourhood renewal.
