Trucks & Dangerous Goods

Heavy vehicles (over 8000 kg GVW/12.5 m long) and vehicles carrying dangerous goods must adhere to the Truck Route Network. If the destination cannot be reached directly from a Truck Route, take the most direct and practical road off the nearest Truck Route.

To request a Dangerous Goods Permit, visit one of 2 locations:

  • The Fire Prevention Office
    10425-106 Avenue*
    Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm
    *Access via the northeast corner of the building

Road Bans

Road bans apply to vehicles where the weight of the carrying axle or axle group exceeds the percentage axle weight imposed by the road ban.
