Walking maps focus on where you live.

The community walking map series highlights what residents want to share about their communities and includes:

  • Suggestions on favourite routes
  • Destinations
  • How to navigate the neighbourhood on foot

Walk Edmonton, Community Leagues and groups and interested citizens have partnered to develop these maps and new maps are developed each year.

We want to hear from you

Join us at an upcoming workshop to provide input. We want to know about your favourite destinations, walking routes and the little known treasures in your neighbourhood - All are welcome! The map is for the young, the old, the very active, and the less active.

We’ll supply the large paper maps, stickies and lots of markers, and we want your help to create a map that is unique to your neighbourhood!

Check out our Where to Walk page for more walking maps and resources. To help you prepare for the workshop, take a walk in your neighbourhood and look for:

  • Points of interest
  • Hotspots
  • Local destinations
  • Favourite walking routes
