The City is developing a Transit Strategy that will help us identify the long term vision for Transit. It will guide development of and investment in the transit system, which is a foundational element to building a great city.
- The Transit Strategy will be a long term vision for transit and a 10 year plan of how to move towards that vision, including goals and actions.
- This project is a pilot project for the Council Initiative on Public Engagement. We’re trying new approaches, testing the learnings and making greater efforts to go where people are.
- We’re also working on other policies related to transit including the Transit Service Standards Policy and the Transit Fare Policy.

Phase 4: Strategy Development
In this phase we will be developing the strategy and supporting policies based on the feedback we received in all the previous phases. We will be taking recommendations to City Council in the Spring of 2017.
