Be First to Know When New Option is Available
The City of Edmonton is working on technology enhancements and appropriate policies to send assessment and tax information electronically to property owners.

This option will be available to residential property owners only.
The Government of Alberta has updated legislation that now allows the City of Edmonton to send assessment and tax information via electronic means. Therefore, Charter Bylaw 18548 will establish a process for delivering assessment, tax and other notices, documents and information by electronic means.
In September 2018, the City engaged Edmontonians on their interest in the proposed online services via the Insight Community.
In October 2018, City Council gave first reading to Charter Bylaw 18548, allowing it to proceed.
Pursuant to Section 231 of the Municipal Government Act, you may submit a petition for a vote of the electors to determine whether the proposed bylaw should be passed. The process for submitting such a petition is set out in Sections 221 to 226 of the MGA.
Council will hold a public hearing to consider proposed Charter Bylaw 18548 on January 21, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 2nd floor City Hall.
You are invited to express your views or listen to the deliberations by
1. Submitting written comments to the Office of the City Clerk.
All written submissions will be available for public review at the public hearing and at the Office of the City Clerk:
