A planning application (map) has been received for a property at 3500 119 Street NW.
The purpose of the application is to rezone the site, the Derrick Golf and Winter Club, from Metropolitan Recreation Zone (A) and Site Specific Development Control Provision (DC2) to a new DC2 Provision to allow for the expansion of their facilities for indoor tennis courts at the northern portion of the site.
The uses listed in the proposed DC2 Provision are based on Permitted and Discretionary Uses within the A Zone (current zoning on the site) combined with uses the applicant regards as compatible with the facility's current services and future opportunities based on the site size.
The proposed DC2 Provision contains regulations to mitigate the impact of the future building on adjacent residential areas north and east of the property.
There is no plan in effect for the neighbourhood.
