A planning application (map) has been received for a property at 7128 Ada Boulevard NW.
The application proposes to rezone the site from an existing Site Specific Development Zone (DC2.649) to Urban Institutional Zone (UI). The purpose of the Urban Institutional Zone (UI) is to provide for facilities of an educational or institutional nature that could include additional uses which would complement the institutional development in mature areas of the city.
The application also includes an associated Zoning Bylaw text amendment to the UI Zone which provides land development regulations specific to Concordia University, on the subject site only. The amendment would allow a maximum building height transitioning from 14.5 metres at the west side of the site, to 29.0 m at the east side of the site.
