Public Hearing Procedures

Public Hearings for planning applications are being held remotely, and opportunities are being provided to allow the public to submit their comments/concerns either in writing or by registering to speak remotely.

To Submit Written Comments:

Submit before noon on the day before the Public Hearing. Email: city.clerk@edmonton.ca

To Register to Speak Remotely at the Public Hearing:

Complete the Request to Speak Form before noon on the day before the Public Hearing or call the Office of the City Clerk at 780-496-8178. Following registration, the remote City Council Statutory Public Hearing procedure will be made available to you.

Proposed

441 111 Street SW

A planning application (map) has been received for a property at 441 111 Street SW.
The application proposes to rezone the site from Rural Residential Zone (RR) to Low-Intensity Business Zone (CB1).

The proposed Low-Intensity Business Zone would allow for the development of low intensity commercial uses including but not limited to: bars and neighbourhood pubs, convenience retail stores, personal service shops, business and professional support services, and general retail stores.

Associated amendments to both the Heritage Valley Servicing Concept Design Brief and Richford Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan propose to re-designate a portion of the Plan from its current designation (Existing Country Residential) to Commercial. The amendments will also enable the rezoning.

The maps.edmonton.ca tool provides information on in-progress rezoning applications received before April 1, 2017.
To use it, follow these steps:
  1. Go to maps.edmonton.ca, and select "Zoning” from the menu
  2. Navigate to an area on the map or enter an address to search
  3. In the top right legend, select the green checkbox for “In progress rezoning applications”
  4. Information like the application date, status and a link to the current (more detailed) document(s) is shown in the box at the bottom of the page
