Recreation in Oliver — What are the Possibilities?
Recreation [rek-ree-ey-shuh n] noun
“Recreation is the experience that results from freely chosen participation in physical, social, intellectual, creative and spiritual pursuits that enhance individual and community well-being.” (Canadian Parks and Recreation Association)
The population of Oliver is projected to double in the next 40 years, meaning more population density and mixed-use spaces. Residents will need local spaces and places to meet their recreation, social and community needs.
We are starting the recreation needs assessment to help inform creative ways to deliver urban recreation that enlivens Oliver now and into the future.
