A planning application (map) has been received to rezone land at 11151 110A Avenue NW. The applicant proposes rezoning in order to develop row housing (up to four units) at this location. The applicant also proposes to amend the Central McDougall/Queen Mary Park Area Redevelopment Plan to redesignate this property from single-family residential to row housing uses.

Vacant ATCO Gas Site (10571, 10575 and 10577 112 Street NW and 10572, 10574 and 10578 111 Street NW)

A planning application (map) has been made to rezone property at 10571, 10575 and 10577 112 Street NW and 10572, 10574 and 10578 111 Street NW from Public Utility Zone (PU) to a Direct Development Control Provision (DC1).

The proposed rezoning would allow for the vacant site to potentially be developed as a business residential mixed-use site that could allow for a mixture of residential, office, and commercial land uses.

The existing zoning currently allows development of public utilities meant for the use for the general population including sewage, electricity, gas, heat, public transportation and other related developments.

The rezoning also requires a Plan Amendment to the Central McDougall/Queen Mary Park Area Redevelopment Plan in order to update associated maps. 

When City administration completes its review of the application, a recommendation will be made to City Council. 

The proposed rezoning will be heard at a City Council Public Hearing. The public will be notified of the Public Hearing date and time at least 21 days in advance.

The maps.edmonton.ca tool is what we use to provide more detailed information on an in-progress rezoning application received before April 1, 2017.
To use it, follow these steps:
  1. Go to maps.edmonton.ca, and select "Zoning” from the menu.
  2. Navigate to an area on the map or enter an address to search.
  3. In the top right legend, select the green checkbox for “In progress rezoning applications” to see proposed rezonings for that address.
  4. You should now see more information like the application date, status and a link to the current (more detailed) document(s) in the box at the bottom of the page.
