Help guide a rezoning proposal for the redevelopment of a parking lot and commercial building in the Downtown neighbourhood.

Public Engagement Session

Citizens were invited to a drop-in engagement session on February 26, 2019 to learn more about the proposed rezoning and development of a high-rise mixed use tower along 104 Street north of Jasper Avenue in the Downtown neighbourhood.

Feedback will be summarized in a report to City Council when the proposed rezoning goes to Public Hearing for a decision.

Formal Application Stage

Advanced Notice

The City sent out advanced notification postcards on November 9, 2018 to nearby residents and the Downtown Community League, notifying them that an application has been received and soliciting feedback. 

Pre-application Stage

The City requires all applicants seeking direct control rezonings to undertake consultation before submitting a formal rezoning application for processing.

Pre-Application Notification

The applicant sent out pre-application notification letters on August 21, 2018 to​​​​ nearby residents and the Downtown Community League soliciting initial feedback on the proposal. The notification also included an invitation to a meeting on September 12, 2018, which provided further engagement opportunities. 

This initial feedback was summarized by the applicant and submitted as part of their application.
