Rezoning and plan amendment for Meridian Tower - Phase 2 Development at 10126 111 Street NW in Oliver.

A planning application is being processed for land at 10126 111 Street NW, approximately 130 metres north of Jasper Avenue on the west side of 111 Street NW. 

The proposed development would be between Jasper Avenue and 102 Avenue, on the site of a surface parking lot, and an existing one-storey commercial building.

The proposal is for a building approximately 22 storeys in height, with commercial uses located at ground level facing 111 Street NW. This new tower will be attached to the entrance of the already existing Meridian I Tower to the immediate south.

This application is comprised of a rezoning and an amendment to the Oliver Area Redevelopment Plan.

Project Updates

The City of Edmonton accepted this application on January 19, 2017. Circulation to other city departments and utility agencies began on July 20, 2017.

The City sent out notices to residents and the Oliver Community League on August 8, 2017.

Application Details

This application proposes to rezone land at 10126 111 Street NW from:

 Commercial Office Zoning (CO) and Low-Intensity Business Zone (CB1) to Site Specific Development Control Provision (DC2).

The application also proposes to amend the Oliver Area Redevelopment Plan to update associated maps.

The proposed development would allow for a high-rise mixed-use building, approximately 22 storeys in height, with commercial uses facing 111 Street NW.
