A planning application (map) has been received for properties at 17303 50 Street NW and 4604 167 Avenue NW.
This application proposes to rezone the properties from Agricultural Zone (AG) to Urban Services Zone (US), Semi-Detached Residential Zone (RF4), and Residential Low Density Zone (RLD). The Urban Services Zone would allow for designation of a school/park site.
The RLD zone is a proposed new zone that would allow for a mix of single-detached houses, semi-detached houses, and duplex houses. The RLD zone would also allow for zero-lot line and reverse housing configurations, where development on a site does not face onto a public roadway, and vehicle access is provided from a public lane.
The proposed amendments to the Zoning Bylaw to create the Residential Low Density Zone (RLD) zone will be discussed at the City Council Public Hearing on February 25, 2019.
