Public Hearings for planning applications are being held remotely, and opportunities are being provided to allow the public to submit their comments/concerns either in writing or by registering to speak remotely.

A planning application (map) has been received for properties at  8721, 8725, 8731, 8735, 8739 and 8741 150 Street NW. The application proposes to rezone the properties from Single Detached Residential Zone (RF1) and Site-Specific Development Control Provision (DC2.973) to a new Site-Specific Development Control Provision (DC2)

The purpose of the proposed rezoning is to allow for development of a mid-rise apartment building with the following characteristics:

  • A maximum height of 25.0 meters (approximately 7 storeys)
  • Up to 101 residential dwellings
  • A maximum Floor Area Ratio of 2.4
  • Surface and underground parking accessible from the rear lane

Edmontonians are invited to share their feedback on this proposed rezoning. The proposed rezoning would allow for the development of a 7-storey mid-rise apartment building with surface and underground parking.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and help keep Edmontonians and City staff safe, feedback is being accepted for this application through the City’s online virtual engagement tool from March 8–28, 2021, in lieu of an in-person engagement session.

Input from Edmontonians will be used to inform conversations with the applicant about potential revision to the proposal to address concerns or opportunities raised. Feedback will also be summarized in the report to City Council when the proposed rezoning goes to a future City Council Public Hearing for a decision.

A planning application (map) has been approved for a property at 9102 150 Street NW.

The application proposed to rezone the property from Single Detached Residential Zone (RF1) to Small-Scale Infill Development Zone (RF3).

A planning application (map) has been received for a portion of a property at 15425 91 Avenue NW. 
The application proposes to rezone the site from Single Detached Residential Zone (RF1) to Urban Services Zone (US).
This portion of the property is currently being used for soccer fields, however, the current zoning does not correspond with the use. The rezoning of the property would allow the same zone as the adjacent school and allow the continuation of the soccer fields and potential expansion of the parking lot.

A planning application (map)  has been received for rezoning of a property at 15004 89 Avenue NW.

The proposed rezoning is from Single Detached Residential Zone (RF1) to Small Scale Infill Development Zone (RF3). The purpose of this rezoning is to provide for Single Detached Housing and Semi-detached Housing while allowing small-scale conversion and infill redevelopment to buildings containing up to four dwellings, including secondary suites and garden suites, under certain conditions.

A planning application (map) has been approved to rezone properties at 8721, 8725, 8731 and 8735 150 Street NW.

The applicant proposed to rezone the subject sites from Single Detached Residential Zone (RF1) to Site Specific Development Control Provision (DC2). The proposal accommodates a nine unit row housing development with secondary suites, referred to in the proposed DC2 as accessory suites, and non-accessory parking to support the commercial development east of the site.
