A planning application (map) has been proposed for properties east of Rabbit Hill Road SW and north of the future 28 Avenue SW.
The application proposes to rezone the properties from Agricultural Zone (AG), Direct Development Control Provision (DC1) and Residential Small Lot Zone (RSL), to Metropolitan Recreation Zone (A), Direct Development Control Provision (DC1), Low Rise Apartment Zone (RA7), and Residential Small Lot Zone (RSL).
The rezoning will protect ravine land and provide for single-detached housing, apartment housing approximately 4 storeys tall, and single detached housing where one side setback is reduced to zero metres. There are no changes proposed to the existing DC1-zoned lots, but all lots are included in this application because the DC1 zone area is being expanded.
The proposed rezoning conforms to the Glenridding Ravine Neighbourhood Structure Plan.
