The proposed rezoning is for a revised Direct Development Control Provision (DC1) to allow for a broader range of commercial and residential uses. The proposed rezoning in general conforms with the Ambleside Neighbourhood Structure Plan

This rezoning will allow for a range of uses, including for general industrial uses, although limited in kind to facilities commonly referred to as self-storage operations. The application will also revise existing regulations to be compatible with the existing commercial development adjacent to the site.

Proposed Rezoning
A planning application (map) has been received for a property at 3470 Allan Drive SW.  
The application proposes to rezone an existing Direct Development Control Provision (DC1) to a revised Direct Development Control Provision (DC1).
The proposed changes will designate the property at 3470 Allan Drive SW as Area E, and introduce unique setback regulations for that area. No changes are proposed to the other areas of the DC1. The changes that would apply to Area E allow for a canopy and parking in one portion of the north side setback.
