About the Proposal

The proposed rezoning at 9503 157 Avenue NW would allow for the opportunity to build a high-density residential development and hotel next to the Eaux Claires transit centre. The development would contain a maximum of 532 residential units, with required parking provided underground on site.

Amendments to the Eaux Claires Neighbourhood Structure Plan would also be required to reflect the proposed rezoning.

Public Open House

November 16, 2017

The public was invited to an open house information session at Major General Griesbach School to learn more about the proposed rezoning before it goes to City Council Public Hearing for a final decision.

Engagement History


August 8, 2017

The applicant sent out notices to approximately 50 landowners within 60 metres of the site asking for feedback on the proposed application. 

Notices were also sent to the Evansdale Community League, and Area Council No. 17, an umbrella group of community leagues in the area north of 137 Avenue and east of 97 Street to the Manning Freeway, seeking feedback on the proposed application.

October 30, 2015 - September 26, 2017

Application put on hold to resolve questions around site servicing.


August 18, 2015

Advance notice of the application sent to 1,282 households in the Eaux Claires neighbourhood to provide information on the application and request feedback. 

Advance notice was also sent to the Evansdale Community League, the Lago Lindo Community League, the Lorelei Beaumaris Community League, the Castle Downs Recreation Society Area Council, and Area Council No. 17 to provide information on the application and request feedback.
