The Resiliency Project is a collaboration between partners, including the City of Edmonton, Edmonton Police Service, and the Organization for the Prevention of Violence. Their aim is to work with the public to prevent and counter violent extremism through awareness, education, research, and online and offline intervention.

Nadira is a graduate from the University of Toronto with a Specialist Degree in Peace, Conflict, and Justice Studies from the Munk School of Global Affairs. She brings with her over 5 years of experience in working with youth and marginalized communities on issues surrounding access to technology, gun violence, and inclusive community development practices. Currently, through her role as the Community Communicator with the Resiliency Project, Nadira works with the public to provide education around hate crimes, violent extremism, and hate-motivated violence in Canada.

Landon Turlock is a Registered Social Worker who has been practicing in Edmonton over the past five years, with experience in restorative justice, youth work, non-profit leadership, and both community and program development. He is passionate about community-centered, collaborative work, and hopes to apply a restorative, social justice lens to the work of the Resiliency Project as a Community Safety Liaison.
