Courage has a Ph.D. in Social Sciences major in Social Work and over eight years experience working with children, families and people from diverse backgrounds. She has an avid interest in seeing that children live in safer communities. Courage finds fulfilment in making a difference in people's lives and is passionate about diversity and inclusion. Communities hold a vast amount of knowledge, so Courage is looking forward to learning and contributing in making our neighbourhoods better and safer. Most especially, Courage believes no idea is dangerous enough not to be heard. She is open to learning about all types of ideas. She is a good listener and has a great sense of humour.
Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta. She has been with The Family Centre since 2012 and in her current role as a Youth Liaison since 2017. She is passionate about youth issues, especially the importance of cultural connections. Hannah feels that working with the Neighbourhood Empowerment Team has provided many meaningful opportunities for collaboration and that working with multiple stakeholders and partners allows for diverse perspectives which only strengthen the journey toward sustainable change. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys music, travel, running, genealogy, and spending time with her dogs.
