Current engagement opportunities are at the advise level on the City’s Public Engagement Spectrum. This means that the public's role is to share feedback and perspectives that are considered for policies, programs, projects or services.

Gathering your Feedback

At the Drop-In Workshop

Please allow about 30 minutes to visit the drop-in workshop to view maps and share your feedback. At the workshop you can expect to see videos, information boards, large maps and visit table stations where you will be helped to share your feedback.

If you require interpretation, translation or visual supports, please contact 311 or email newbusroutes@edmonton.ca so our team can help make arrangements for your participation at the City Hall workshop on November 29, 2018. If you are unable to attend the City Hall workshop and require supports at another venue, please contact us.

Free snacks and beverages, children's activities and much more will be available at our events.

Online Survey

October 25  - December 9 2018

If you are unable to attend a community workshop, we hope to collect your feedback on the new bus network through our online survey. The online survey will allow you to explore the bus network and provide us with your ideas of how the network could be refined.

Engagement History

What We Heard

When we developed the Transit Strategy, Edmontonians told us they wanted a bus system that better met their needs. Here is what else we heard:

  • Edmontonians want a transit system that is safe, fast, convenient and reliable
  • Different people want different things from their transit system
  • People in the inner neighbourhoods (between 50 Street and 170 Street and Yellowhead Trail and Whitemud Drive) want more frequent service, service at all times of day and 7 days a week
  • People in the outer neighbourhoods want more frequent service, shorter travel times, and prefer weekday peak service

Based on local knowledge and technical expertise, we developed a new bus network to better serve Edmontonians.
